A Dangerous Development

The story of a new strain of HIV is not good news. Last I heard, it took about 8 weeks for an infected person to show positive on an HIV test. That time may have since reduced by better testing, but it must still take some time. This new strain of HIV goes to work killing it's victims almost as soon as it could possibly be detected.

It will pass to faithful spouses from wandering mates.
It could find use as a lethal weapon by some bitter victims.
It will be a scourge upon the poor, gays and the sexually adventurous.

I don't wish it on anyone. I don't approve of high risk behaviors, but I don't wish it on anyone.
