The King of Pop is Dead
If a Republican sends a suggestive e-mail to a page, it's a foil for a national slime campaign. But if a brilliant dancer-singer is a serial pedophile, then Hollywood and pop culture America looks the other way.
Michael Jackson became the sorry excuse for a human he was because the hangers-on in his life never told him "no."
Michael Jackson died the way he did because the hangers-on in his life never told him "no."
Much like Elvis, he lived in an artificial world of adulation that destroyed him.
With strength and discipline, he would have been an enduring, unstoppable force for real progress. Instead, he's another Hollywood "rags to riches" and "drugs to the grave" story.
It will all be OK. After all, tomorrow is another day...

HE WAS A LAMB!
Michael Jackson was too naive for this world and not deserving of all the jokes/judgements bestowed upon him. I will never believe he molested young children and not one shred of evidence has ever been produced to substantiate such claims. Certainly he didn't act like a "normal" adult; but he never was normal...he was gifted from birth & exploited far beyond what we could ever imagine. Michael told us himself how he was affected by his lost childhood & his pure sweet innocence was something we all should contemplate upon. I never laughed at a Michael Jackson joke...and always felt good by a Michael Jackson song.
I'm white, I'm 51, and I LOVED MICHAEL & all the memories his songs evoke in my life and my son's life. Will always cherish the moments my son would do the "moon walk" or have a piece of cardboard out on the driveway doing his back rolls along with his friends. And asking if I could buy him a white glove.
What makes people so mean & hateful? So judgmental? Michael Jackson postmortem will generate more revenue than he ever earned while alive. He was who he was- The King of Pop- "UNIQUE" & All I Can Say is They Don't Care About Us!
He had NOTHING on Sammy Davis Jr. Now THERE was an entertainer who fought through Jim Crow and did it all.
