Perpetuating Dominance
In the industrial age, energy was cheap but manufacturing was labor intensive and expensive. Now it's reversed, What if we put ourselves to work building devices that are difficult to manufacture but unimaginably energy-smart. Things that represent the magnitude of leap we've made with micro-processors. What if we put ourselves another ten years out in front of everyone else?
We can change the value of oil two ways, increase the supply or reduce the demand. Increasing the supply doesn't seem easy or smart. But if we can change the value of oil, we can change the power and influence of those that control it.
And by owning the alternative, we continue to swing the biggest bat on the third ball from the sun.
The best way to predict the future is to create it. - Peter Drucker
