The Brutality of Reason Example

By Ironcross One-One

Slicing and dicing things into pieces small enough
to be fed to Liberals, Kooks and Anti-Americans.
When feeding Kooks and Anti-Americans
I suggest a potato gun.

If you are the emotional liberal type, this mindspace will make you uncomfortable. If you think my logic or facts are faulty, lets discuss it. When your findings disagree with my findings, that is dialogue. But using rhetoric to disagree with science is demogoguery. No demogoguery! I usually refrain from insults, but occasionally, ignorance and liberal hypocrisy bring out the worst in me.

The Problem in His Own Words

Drudge reports on Ken Auletta's "Sign-Off" in the 7 March issue of The New Yorker. In the Drudge story, The last line is a quote from Dan Rather.
Quothe Dan:
"In the end, I believe in the dream, the magical mystical kingdom of CBS News. It may exist only in our minds, but that makes it no less real."
Dan, that's why you are not an anchorman anymore. Believing the memos were real, wanting them to be real, hoping they are real and praying for them to be real does not make them real. Only reality can make something real. We are not interested in knowing what you would like to believe happened. We are interested in knowing what actually happened.

As for the "magical mystical kingdom of CBS News", I don't think I could say it better than that. CBS is like Disneyland, a place where reality is an inconvenience.

In journalism, truth is hard currency and credibility is credit. CBS has borrowed on its credibility until it's bankrupt. They can rebuild if they focus on reporting the present instead of trying to shape the future.

From CBS in New York, It's Sergeant Pepper's Magical Mystical Evening Wild Kingdom of News. Brought to you by Mutual of Omaha.
