A Whole New Meaning

More and more evidence is surfacing that we are predisposed to certain behaviors. This time it's religion.

So... does it not make since that a nation founded from a bunch of colonies established by a bunch of religious fundamentalists would be more religious than the European nations that persecuted them into emigration? Is it in our blood?

The study lends credence to the common religious belief that God's commandments prohibit marrying outside the faith. If that is so, it would be for good reason.

And then there's that whole "chosen people" thing.

Genesis: 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.

Those of you that squirm when religion is on the table can sit easy. I'm not preaching. This is about anthropology and genetics.

For a couple of hundred years we've been denying that people are born with significant behavioral differences stemming from genealogy. That view is changing.

It won't be long till an enterprising defense lawyer introduces the "Genealogy Defense" in a court of law. He will claim that the DNA that identified the perp also made him do the crime. You heard it here first.
