So... does it not make since that a nation founded from a bunch of colonies established by a bunch of religious fundamentalists would be more religious than the European nations that persecuted them into emigration? Is it in our blood?
The study lends credence to the common religious belief that God's commandments prohibit marrying outside the faith. If that is so, it would be for good reason.
And then there's that whole "chosen people" thing.

For a couple of hundred years we've been denying that people are born with significant behavioral differences stemming from genealogy. That view is changing.
It won't be long till an enterprising defense lawyer introduces the "Genealogy Defense" in a court of law. He will claim that the DNA that identified the perp also made him do the crime. You heard it here first.
