Reason #1, It’s the Negativity, Stupid!
America is a wonderful place. It’s the place people escape to. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than anywhere else. The powers of government are limited. No titles of birthright or nobility or caste system. With hard work and ambition, anyone can succeed. No submission to the arbitrary judgement of nepotistic tribal elders. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than anywhere else.
I saw the protesters on TV today. Let me give you what they think of America. This is how you read the paragraph above in “leftist kook voice”.
America is a mean place. People that come here are enslaved by evil capitalists. It is nearly hopeless – possibly the worst place on earth. You must be very courageous to stand up against this oppressive regime, but I do it at great risk to life and limb. Justice is frustrated by the rich who proclaim “Just us”. We need to change this place today if any of us are to see the morning.
The 250,000 of you that bus from city to city to show up at the "protest of the week" are a black eye to the leftist cause. The rest of us are not blind to our national shortcomings but we think of our nation as we do ourselves. We are not perfect, but we are doing pretty good in a difficult world.
When you spew hate and vitriol at this country, you insult and indict everyone of us who are doing our best in a difficult world. Think about that. Are you perfect in all of your relationships? Does all this negativity work for you? Because it doesn't work for us.

Ever noticed what the protestors have in common? They were conspicuously absent when their boy Bill Clinton was pulling his shenanigans. ;)
